Two Lincolnshire loops in one sunny day
A clear October day split into a morning run to Lincoln and an afternoon loop through Sleaford and Grantham.
A perfect early-autumn day: dry, clear, and 16 to 19 °C. I rode twice, about 54 miles in the morning and 55 in the afternoon.
Morning: Newark and Lincoln
The morning ride ran through Newark and along the A17 to Lincoln. It was flat all the way, with the highest point only about 131 metres and around 79 metres of climbing over the whole run.
Afternoon: Sleaford and Grantham
The afternoon loop took in Sleaford and Grantham, with Lincoln and Newark on the way back.
